3 Signs That It Is Time To Throw Out Your Makeup

Makeup is not cheap and because it isn’t cheap we often want to make it last until the last gram of it is used up. What often happens is that we end using it longer than we should and longer than it is healthy, smart and useful.

So here are some signs that tell you when it’s time to finally throw that aging make up.

The Most Obvious Sign That Makeup Is Too Old

When this happens you know that your makeup has seen its last days.

What is the sign?

When your makeup has completely dried up, when it cracks and when it no longer spreads then it is most defnitely time to replace it. In some cases you might be able to re-hydrate it but that will rarely work well.

A Less Obvious Sign That Makeup Is Getting Old

Your makeup might look totally hydrated, normal and without the extreme signs of cracking and drying — but it still might not be any good.

From an application sense, when your makeup no longer spreads well and doesn’t apply well, then it really is time to get rid of it. From a quality point of view, when make up gets to this point it will not look good when you put it on and it won’t apply correctly.

When this happens, it is time to get some new makeup and replace what you have now. It isn’t worth keeping. You’ll only frustrate yourself trying to apply it, and waste a lot of time. Invest in some new products.

When This Happens It Is Time To Throw Out Your Makeup

When makeup no longer feels good on your face, is it really worth putting on? When makeup gets really old it doesn’t feel good on your skin.

Personally, I want my makeup to feel good on my skin, and I want my skin to be able to breathe well. So from a comfort and maybe even a health standpoint when makeup gets to this point it isn’t worth putting on any more and it can clog your pores and cause breakouts.

When your makeup doesn’t feel good on your skin, if it makes you breakout, replace it.

As you can see, knowing when to throw out your make up is fairly easy to figure out. You just have to get over that resistance, and just do it.

The next thing that you should focus on is learning how to make your makeup last a lot longer.
